Dear Walt Disney Families,
Welcome to Walt Disney Elementary! My name is Ryan Kennedy, and it is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the principal of Walt Disney Elementary. It is an honor to join such an incredible school community, rich with history. I look forward to building strong, lasting connections with our students, staff, and families.
Prior to joining Walt Disney, I served as the Assistant Principal at Pennwood Middle School, where I had the privilege of working with many students and families from this very community. Being welcomed into a place that already feels like home fills me with joy. I’m eager to bring my fun, outgoing personality and positive energy to this new role as we continue to build a nurturing, engaging, and inspiring learning environment for all. 
I believe strong relationships are the key to success in school and personal life. To that end, I share my life journey with my wonderful wife, Haley, and our loving daughter, Cecelia, who is truly the Belle to my Beast. As you get to know me, you’ll discover my passion for sports, comics, young adult fantasy novels - especially the Percy Jackson series - and, of course, Disney.
Throughout my career, I’ve placed a strong emphasis on connection and open communication as the foundation for success for our students, staff, and the entire school community. I am committed to fostering a culture where we work together to support one another to achieve our goals. I truly believe it takes a village to make a difference in the lives of our students.
